EMES Anniversary Book Series Presentation

EMES Anniversary Book Series Presentation

As part of the 20th anniversary of EMES, we will be organising several online book series presentations. Our aim is to display and provide a window for our diversified research publications in the EMES community that span a variety of subjects and novelties, theoretical and empirical framings, local and global contexts as well as junior and senior authors. This new series aims to connect SE researchers with ideas, so we have gathered prominent researchers in the field working on a range of topics. The participants will get a chance to present their work in a webinar format and then engage in lively discussions with the audience during the session. Let the conversation begin!

Book Series Presentation

With a view to gathering prominent and promising researchers in the field working on this wide range of topics, there will be a monthly session and all of them are available on the EMES YouTube channel so you can use them for your own research and teaching purposes. The book presentation session will last approximately 60 minutes. Each session has a different format although, (ideally) there is a double-host, presenter and commenter.

There are three thematic lines :

  • The ICSEM books, revisit “The Emergence of SE” 20 years later;
  • Dissertations/early career researchers’ publications;
  • Specific themes: Highlights on work considered to be important for the future of the SE field.

Timetable

The suggested slot is the 3rd Wednesday of each month, at 17.00 (CET)—a time that may suit European, American and Asian/Australian audiences.
