On behalf of our institutional member The Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra and in line with our Affinity Group “Culture&Arts in SE field” we are happy to announce CULTURS International Conference “Towards Creative Resilience? Re-imagining Urban Cultures, sociabilities and Participation” will be held in Coimbra, 14-15 November 2024. This conference will bring together a diverse group of scholars and professionals.
This yearâs event will kick off with a masterclass titled “Where Cultural Mapping Meets Cultural and Social Planning: Exploring and Critiquing Selected Models of Community-University Collaboration” setting the stage for thought-provoking discussions and collaborative learning.
Two-day international conference aims to foreground the agency of cultural actors and practices, and the essential need for equitable and inclusive civic participation in collective transitions and transformations towards regenerative and resilient strategies and actions.
The conference will conclude with a seminar titled “Making Sense of Community-Engaged Research Methods: Stories from the Field, For the Field.“ focusing on practical, field-based insights in community-engaged research, offering valuable stories and reflections for practitioners and researchers.
