The first edition of “Déclic Day” was a huge success. It helped 19 young people in Brussels to discover the social economy and social entrepreneurship while “doing things together”.

The EMES International Research Network was delighted to be part of the magic again this year, sharing our 20-year wealth of knowledge about social economy and social entrepreneurship, thanks to the support of the Bernheim Foundation.

The second “Déclic Day” was an exciting event that took place on a sunny Saturday, February 24th. This time, the AJC festival was happening right in the heart of Gare du Nord. Over 20 enthusiastic participants were there, making it a day brimming with inspiration, learning, and project creation.

The day was divided into three parts: awareness about the social economy, project brainstorming, and finally, pitching the idea.

With the collective knowledge, the group created 4 fictitious projects:

1. The quest for meaning among young people: a project revisited in schools to have a cocooned place where young people can find help, support and many ideas for taking care of themselvesand their well-being;
2. The quest for meaning among young people (group 2): an application that would link young people and companies to offer them concrete internships so that they can confront professional reality and be able to choose better what suits them and best motivates them.
3. Re-use issue: an appliance repair stand on the markets, in conjunction with the seniors of a neighbourhood and the municipality.
4. Food issues: courses organized for children and seniors during school holidays around sustainable cooking.

We’re beyond grateful to the Bernheim Foundation for their continued support, enabling us to reach significant milestones, including “Déclic Day”. We firmly believe in the power of innovative approaches to achieve social goals.
