The new cycle in the EMES PhD Network just started! We thank our engaged PhD community for sharing their needs, expectations, and preferences and how we can continue strengthening our community together. After a successful webinar, EMES PhD members discussed the new ideas of what is expected throughout the year.

Survey results show up…
- Relationships are what PhD community is all about! Networking brought us together in the EMES PhD Network, followed by learning more about the field and participating in conferences and training schools.
- We want webinars to discuss our topics and the pieces and bits of doing research: methods, publishing, reviewing, and so on. Webinars attract the most attention, but there is interest in all activities we have in mind: Community cafes, thesis writing sessions, and blog.
- We do fancy an email! We have three other different communication channels with high levels of use: Facebook group, the new LinkedIn group, and a WhatsApp group. But the majority still prefer email. That is why we are writing this email in the first place! But we do not want to overflow your email box, so we do not intend to send many messages. We highly recommend also staying tuned to the EMES News Alert, you can subscribe here.
Thesis Writing Café
We are now opening a new online space to work on our thesis! It is the magic of having dedicated time to write every week and the support of peers.
Schedule your Fridays from 14:00 to 16:00 CEST for focused thesis writing. It started in December 2023, so join us for a productive time.

9th EMES Training School – Call for Applications open!
The 9th EMES Training School will happen from 30 June to 4 July 2024 in Trento, Italy. Oh, what can we say about them? So many insights, partnerships, and friendships have emerged from the Training Schools. These are intense and fruitful days to discuss your research and go deeper into topics related to the SE field, research, and transdisciplinarity. We are all already looking forward to Trento!
