Benedetta De Pieri

Graduate student

PhD Student at Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health – Glasgow Caledonian University

I have started my PhD at the Yunus Centre in October 2015. My research focuses on social innovation ideas, policies and implementation in Italy and the UK. The study will explore how policies enhancing social innovation are shaped in these two countries and which ideational and contextual factors influence the policy-making processes in each. The research is supervised by Simon Teasdale, Stephen Sinclair and Simone Baglioni.

Prior to joining the Yunus Centre, I have worked as a research assistant at the Bocconi University (Cergas – Centre for Research on Health and Social Care Management) and as a fundraising consultant in Milan, developing fundraising strategies for non-profit organisations involved in the fields of social exclusion, poverty and healthcare.
