EMES member, Danijel Baturina, awarded with Croatian National Science Award in the category of young scientists

EMES long-standing member, Danijel Baturina is one of the winners of the National Science Award for 2021, awarded by the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education in the category of young scientists, in the field of social sciences.

In the explanation of the award, it is stated that it is awarded “for an exceptional contribution to analysis and development of the topic of social entrepreneurship”. In addition, Danijel is recognized as one of the most prolific Croatian authors in the field of social entrepreneurship. During his career, he made important contributions to the development of the scientific field of social policy.

Danijel shared with the EMES community his excitement after receiving this prestigious recognition:

This award is of course the result of our joint endeavors, and I want to thank the EMES community for all the support over these years. It also is a recognition of all our efforts in legitimizing SE research in countries like Croatia, with not so strong tradition in the sector and its research.”
National Science Awards are granted by the Republic of Croatia to scientists, researchers, and young researchers for outstanding achievements in scientific and research activities, for new scientific discoveries, and for scientific accomplishments achieved through the implementation of the results of scientific research.
