Briefing paper by the International Coalition of the Social and Solidarity Economy

The International Coalition of the Social and Solidarity Economy (ICSSE) invites everyone to participate in the discussions regarding decent work and the Social and Solidarity Economy at the next International Labor Conference.

In June 2022, an agenda item of the 110th International Labor Conference (ILC) from the International Labor Organization (ILO) deal with the “Social and Solidarity Economy for a human-centred future of work”. During the 110th ILC, the spotlight will be placed on the Social and Solidarity Economy in a forum where the world comes together to discuss and propose solutions to the social and economic challenges we are facing.

Governments, public actors, workers and employers’ representatives, cooperatives, mutuals, associations, social enterprises are invited to join the movement with the International Coalition of the SSE!

The International Coalition of the Social and Solidarity Economy (ICSSE) was launched in September 2021 by five (5) of the main actors of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) in the international arena: the International Cooperative Alliance (ACI), the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF), the SSE International Forum (SSE IF), the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) and the International Association of Mutual Benefit Societies (AIM).  It aims at deepening advocacy efforts for the promotion and recognition of the Social and Solidarity Economy as its actors are fostering the implementation of SDGs.
