The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to July 15th.

The Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health at Glasgow Caledonian University, one of the institutional members of EMES, is one of the organisers of the Social Business Academia Conference 2016 (SBAC2016).

The concept of Social Business has been initiated and promoted by Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus. Social Business Academia Conference is held each year around this concept to review the theoretical and practical implications and potential of the concept. The purpose of the conference is to create a networking opportunity for academics, researchers, practitioners, and development activists to discuss recent insights on Social Business.

Although academic in nature, both academic and non-academic paper-writers consisting of business executives, consultants, social activists, social business practitioners, and others will deliver research papers, case studies, in-depth evaluations, and papers documenting innovative directions of social businesses. Collectively paper-writers will reflect on the challenges and opportunities that social businesses face as they try to take on the most complicated human problems inside one country, and across countries around the world.
